The West has long been the gateway to Asia, and WAA is building on that legacy by sending the first official US trade mission of performing arts professionals to Asia. With support from US Department of Commerce International Trade Administration, 12 US artists and agencies and three US presenters share our story with the world.
We make it easier for U.S. artists to tour overseas. Through trade missions to international arts markets and online showcase opportunities, we promote accomplished U.S. musicians, dance and theatre companies to international programmers, festival directors, and venue managers. About Performing Arts Discovery
PAD Showcase is an international online showcase for US-based performing artists who are ready to tour. Funded by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), awarded artists and ensembles receive support to create professionally produced live performance videos which are promoted and showcased to programmers and festival directors in international markets via an online platform.
PADX focuses on expanding global markets for US-based performing artists by identifying and forging new international partnerships. Funded by an International Trade Administration Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP) grant, PADX aims to develop touring opportunities for U.S. artists in the target markets of Australia, Colombia, Germany and beyond.
