Q: What states does WAA Serve?
WAA serves Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawai’i, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming as well as parts of Canada. We’ve also made strides to better connect with our close neighbors in Mexico.
Q: What does WAA do?
WAA is a membership association of performing arts practitioners. Each year we host an annual booking conference, as well as year-round programming.
Q: What is a performing arts practitioner?
Anyone who works in the field of performing arts!
Q: I’m a performing artist, but I don’t have representation. Can I be a member?
Absolutely!
Q: Do you represent artists?
No, we do not represent or manage artists.
Q: What does WAA consider “performing arts” or “performing arts artists”?
WAA is not discipline-specific, and we consider anyone who performs in front of an audience, as being a part of the performing arts field.

Q: How do I access my account?
To access your profile and make changes to your directory listing, pay your membership fees, or register for the conference and programming, use the login that you created when you first registered for membership. If you lost your login info, please contact us.
Q: I’ve lost my login, who do I contact?

Q: I want to connect with other WAA members outside of the conference, what’s the best way to do that?
There are a couple of ways to connect with members. Visit the member directory and directly reach out to individuals. Another great way to connect with other members is to join one of our committees or interest groups.
Q: How do I update my profile?
To update your profile, login to you WAA account and navigate to “Manage Profile” in the upper right corner of your home screen.

Q: When does the conference typically take place?
The week before Labor Day.
Q: What is a booking conference?
A booking conference is a conference that connects artists, artist managers, and presenters to book upcoming seasons or “do business” as we refer to it. We also provide professional development programmings such as keynotes, panels, and workshops to deepen attendee knowledge and exploration of the field.
Q: What is a delegate?
A delegate is an attendee who is not also exhibiting.
